Close the window. Click “Apply”. Click “OK”.
  9. Windows Vista or Windows 7 or any previous Windows users need to click on the “General” tab. Then, select “Selective startup”. Checkmark near “Load startup items” needs to be removed. Close the window. Click “Apply” and then click “OK”.
  10. Restart the computer or laptop.
  11. Check if the malware problem is resolved or not.

Can I Remove or Delete AutoReactivator.exe?

You should not normally delete any executable file, as there may be other dependent files that are associated with the executable file. AutoReactivator.exe is also not an exception. Do not delete the file as such. If you are convinced that the file is malware-infected, uninstall the Advanced SystemCare 9 application, rather than deleting the AutoReactivator.exe file. You may also remove the malware using an antivirus program.

How to Remove or Fix Malware-Infected AutoReactivator.exe File?

1. Remove the Malware

You may use any antivirus application to check and remove malware, as explained below.

  • Install an antivirus program on your computer or laptop.
  • Go to the antivirus program.
  • Select “Scan” from the menu. It will scan your computer for malware infections.
  • If any files are infected with malware, follow the prompts to remove the malware-infected files.
  • Check if the malware issue is resolved or not.

2. Remove Malware After Doing a Clean Booting

After completing all steps as explained under the sub-heading “Doing a Clean Booting” a little above in this article, follow the instructions given below to remove any malware from your computer or laptop.

  1. If there are no malware problems after a clean booting, it can be assumed that any of the Non-Microsoft processes or Windows startup programs are causing the malware issue.
  2. Now, Enable all Non-Windows services which you have disabled inside the “Startup” tab. In addition, Enable all programs that have disabled in the Task Manager. This should be done one process or program at a time. After each service or program is Enabled, the computer or laptop needs to be restarted. Check if there are any malware problems or not. (If you encounter any malware problems after any service or program is enabled, update that service or program with the latest files to avoid malware problems.) If there are no malware issues, enable the next service or program that was disabled earlier. Repeat this process for all services and programs that were disabled.

Conclusion: AutoReactivator.exe is an executable file that is part of the Advanced SystemCare 9 program, a Computer optimization program. This program also helps to keep your computer safe. Rarely, the AutoReactivator.exe file also gets malware-infected.

If you suspect any virus problem, you need to check the executive program file details like the source folder, publisher’s name, file size, etc. If there is any discrepancy in the values with that of the original file, confirm if the file is indeed malware-infected or not. This can be done by using an antivirus program or by doing a clean booting of the computer.

Malware-Infected AutoReactivator.exe file can be fixed by two methods. The first method is by using the antivirus program. The second methods is by enabling each service or program after clean booting. You need to update the program or service if there are any malware issues after any program or service is enabled.

Fix Nexus Mod Manager Not Downloading

The Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) is an open-source free software to install, update, and manage mod files. It integrates with the Nexus sites very well and provides you with a fast and hasslefree modding experience. However, some users face problems while trying to download mod files from the “Nexusmods” site. Normally, after downloading a small portion, the download process stops. In some cases, the download does not work at all.

We will discuss the causes of the Nexus mod manager download problems and different methods to fix the issue on your computers or laptops.

Causes of Nexus Mod Manager Download Error

The most common reasons for Nexus Mod Manager download errors are listed below.

  • Mod manager settings bug can cause download errors. Wrongly associated nxm URLs in the Mod manager may be the culprit in such cases.
  • Your browser application settings for the nxm can also cause download issues.

Fix Nexus Mod Manager not Downloading

Fix Nexus Mod Manager not Downloading

First, check if your connection to NMM Content Delivery Network (CDN) is working or not. This can be done by the following procedure.

  1. Press the Windows key and R key together.
  2. Type cmd and press the enter key.
  3. Type “ping files.nexus-cdn.com” without quotes and press the enter key.
  4. Check if there is a ‘Reply’ from the server or if the ‘Request times out’.
  5. If there is a ‘reply’ and you still face NMM download problems, skip the next step (i.e. step 6) and follow any of the methods given below to fix the issue.
  6. If ‘request times out’ message appears for all the 4 tries, it can be assumed that the connection to the NMM web server is facing some problems. The reasons include NMM web server problems or your internet connection problems. If you get the error message “Ping request could not find host files.nexus-cdn.com. Please check the name and try again”, check your internet connection and make sure that it is working. Now, repeat the steps 3 onwards, until you get a ‘reply’ from the NMM Content Delivery Network.

1. Re-associate with NXM URLs

Nexus Mod Manager setting errors can cause download problems. This can be fixed by the following procedure.

Mod manager bugs may cause wrong nxm URLs to be associated with the Mod manager. This does not let the Nexus Mod manager communicate with nexus URLs that you are trying to download.

  • Open “Nexus Mod Manager”.
  • Go to “Settings“.
  • Go to the “General” tab.
  • If the “Associate with NXM URLs“ option is greyed out, close the Nexus Mod Manager. (You can not do anything with the value of this if it is greyed out)
  • Right-click on the Nexus Mod Manager shortcut and select “Run as Administrator“.
  • Again, go to the “Settings“.
  • “Associate with NXM URLs” box should be unchecked. (if the value is checked)
  • Close “Settings”.
  • Again, open “Settings”.
  • Now, check the “Associate with NXM URLs”.
  • Check if the problem is fixed or not.

2. NXM Application Settings in Browser

Possibility of nxm to be associated with a wrong application (or no application at all) in the browser settings can cause download errors. To avoid this error, do the following steps. I have given the details of the fix for the Firebox browser. For other browsers, the required steps are similar.

  • Launch “Firefox”.
  • Click on the three small lines on the top right-hand side of the browser.
  • Select “Options“.
  • Go to the “Applications” section on the right-hand side. (Use the search feature to find out “Applications”.)
  • Select “Nexus Mod Manager” for the NXM from the list.
  • If Nexus Mod Manage is not found in the drop-down list of values, choose “Use Other“.
  • Click “Browse“. Now, select the “NexusClient.exe” in the installed folder.
  • Now check if the error is fixed or it still persists.

3. Install Link Handler Manually

Installing the link handler manually can also fix the download problems with NMM. This method is for those who are familiar with the Windows registry. Caution: Wrongly editing the Windows registry may cause your computer or laptop to stop functioning. Always take the backup of the registry before doing any edits.

  1. Open Windows registry editor as an administrator.
  2. Go to KEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
  3. Add a new key called “nxm” there.
  4. Change the string value to “Nexus Mod Download”.
  5. Add a string value and name it as “URL Protocol”. Leave the value empty.
  6. Add a key to “nxm” and name it as “DefaultIcon”.
  7. Change the value to “C:PathtoNexusClient.exe,1”.
  8. Add a key to “nxm” and name it as “shell”.
  9. Add a key to “shell” and name it as “open”.
  10. Now, add a key to “open” and name it as “command”.
  11. Change the value of “command” to “C:PathtoNexusClient.exe” “%1”.Close the registry editor.
  12. Restart the computer or laptop.
  13. Now, check if the download works or you still face errors.

4 Alternative Program – Use Vortex

Alternative Program - Vortex

If the Nexus Mod Manager doesn’t work for you, using an alternative mod manager like Vortex may solve your problem. It is a mod manager software from Nexus Mods, that can be used for downloading mods. To download and use Vortex, do the following.

  • Go to the web site https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1?tab=files.
  • Download the required files.
  • Click on the downloaded file and install the software by following the prompts.
  • Check if the error is fixed or not.

Conclusion: The Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) is a free open-source software to install, update, and manage the mod files. Some users face problems while trying to download mod files from “Nexusmods” sites.

Invalid Nexus Mod Manager settings can cause download problems. This can be fixed by associating the NXM URLs correctly. NXM Browser settings can also cause download errors which can be fixed by associating the right application within the browser. Installing the link handler manually by adding the necessary entries to the Windows registry can also fix the download problems with NMM. Make sure that you do a Windows registry backup before proceeding with this fix, as any wrongdoings with the registry may cause your computer or laptop to unpredictable behavior.

Another solution to NMM download errors is to use an alternate mod manager like Vortex.

If Fix 1 was not successful, you could solve the problem at hand by keying in the product key matching your Windows edition.

This will not activate your Windows for good, but it will prompt you to reactivate your computer using an associated license.

Follow the following steps.

1. Make sure you are connected to a stable internet connection

2. Press Windows key + R to open a Run Window. Type in the term “slui” and then hit Enter key to open the Windows Activation Client.

3. Click on Change Product Key, then enter the appropriate generic product key for the Windows edition:

Windows 10 Home Edition: YTMG3 – N6DKC – DKB77 – 7M9GH – 8HVX7

Windows 10 Home Edition Single Language: BT79Q – G7N6G – PGBYW – 4YWX6 – 6F4BT

4. Press next and wait for the activation window to close and then restart your PC. After restarting your PC, return to the activation screen, confirm if the error message has been replaced with “Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account.” If you have it, then you have resolved the issue successfully, and your version of windows is activated if otherwise

Fix using the command prompt

5. Open a Command Prompt b, clicking the Windows Start icon on the bottom-left corner or press the Windows Key and type “cmd.” Then, right-click on Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator. Insert your password if prompted to and hit Enter.

Concern:

A complete product key should contain 25 alphanumeric characters. Before you submit it, confirm that your license is still valid. Use dashes after every 5 characters if they are not automatically inserted to split the product key into five sections.

7. Exit cmd and restart your PC. The activation may not happen instantly. Give it some hours before you head over to the next method.

Fix 3: Make good use of the Chat Support

Luckily, Windows 10 includes a convenient chat option that you can use to activate your product.

1. Press Windows key + R to open a Run Window. Type in “slui 4” and then hit Enter to fire up the Installation ID screen then select your country.

3. A Virtual Agent will suggest some troubleshooting steps which we don’t want for this fix. Type the word test and then select No on every prompt until you get to the option of Talking to a person.

4. Head over to Services & Apps > Windows > Setting up and pick Chat online with a Microsoft Answer Tech. Depending on how many are free, it might take a while until you hear from the call agent. Explain that you want a reactivation of your Windows 10 license once the Microsoft Answer Technician arrives.

5. Provide your Windows license key. Then when asked to provide your Installation ID, copy Installation ID from the Installation ID window we minimized earlier into the Contact Support window. You will be provided with the Confirmation ID, which you will paste in the Installation ID window.

Fix We Couldn’t Create The Outlook Data File in MS Outlook

It is excellent that Microsoft Outlook allows you to work with multiple accounts like Exchange, Office 365, Gmail, Yahoo.com, and many others. These accounts entirely simplified how different client emails are managed using a single interface. It is easy to configure an email client with Outlook, irrespective of the type of profile. But sometimes users may be hit by a message pop up like we couldn’t create the outlook data file.

This problem bothers many people because it is not specific to a machine.

Why couldn’t Outlook create the data file?

It is crucial that the error is experienced only when adding a Gmail account but works fine when adding a different account from other email providers.

The following are the widely known causes of the bug.

  • Bugs: outlook bugs may not allow you to add a new account in Outlook. You will see the error when you try to add an account using the File ->Add Account option rather than using the conventional Control Panel>Mail path method.
  • Simplified Account Creation Wizard for Outlook: Apart from the above cause, “we couldn’t create the outlook data file” error may appear when you start the outlook application using this feature. You can fix this by disabling the simplified outlook account creation wizard.

Solutions for “We Couldn’t Create the Outlook Data File” Error

Concern:

Make sure that before you try any of the fixes below, you allow Outlook from your email service provider side. Without proper permissions from your client-side, you will not be able to add any email accounts to Outlook.

To do this, go to Sign-in & security options from Gmail settings then select App passwords. From the next screen, appropriately choose options like your device, etc. The option will generate you a 16 digit code that you will enter as your password.

With that said, let’s get on board.

This is an alternative method to approach the one above. If you are still experiencing, we couldn’t create the outlook data file; then, you should consider method two. Use the Mail option from the Control Panel if at all you do not want to use Outlook to add an email account from another provider.

Here is how to go about it

Step 1: Hold Windows key and press R

Step 2: Type control panel and press Enter

Step 3: Click Small icons from the drop-down menu from View By option, click on Mail.

Method 3: Disable Simplified Account Creation By Modifying Registry Editor

Since there are many ways to kill a rat, Disabling the Simplified Account Creation could solve your problem. Modifying the registry editor will disable the “Connect Outlook to Office 365” feature and let you add an email account via the conventional way.

Before you proceed, back up the current Registry state. To do this, click on File then Export to save a copy of the current state.

Step 1: Press the Windows key and R to invoke the Run window.

Step 2: Type in the word regedit then click OK to open the Registry Editor.

Step 3: Expand the following folders one by one to locate the Setup key or perhaps copy the path below, then paste it in the address box.

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Setup

Step 4: Right-click in empty space from the right pane, then select New and press DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Well, after you successfully add your email account to Outlook, it is vital to create a consistent and up-to-date backup of Outlook data.

The reason for this move is because Outlook is prone to damage. Setting up regular backup will protect you against Outlook data loss. Backups will help you recover damaged PST data without much effort.
