  • To do this, in the address bar, enter: chrome: // flags
  • In the navigation bar, type TLS. 
  • When displaying the results, find TLS 1.3.
  • Set the parameter value to Disabled. After saving the changes, restart your browser and try to open the site.

Make sure your software is up to date.

You should make sure that all your programs are up to date, including your Windows operating system, antivirus program, Google Chrome, etc. Various errors and security issues are fixed with each patch that is released, so this could be a solution to the error for ERR_SSL_VERSION_INTERFERENCE.

Remove or Reinstall Anti-Malware Software

There are numerous reports that certain antivirus engines (such as Kaspersky and Avast) were causing the ERR_SSL_VERSION_INTERFERENCE error to appear to users.   • In the toolbar, locate the hidden trays and click on them.

  • Find any task related to your antivirus engine and turn it off.
  • Press Start and open Control Panel.
  • Go to Programs and Features > Uninstall a Program.
  • Select your antivirus, right-click on it, and select Uninstall / Change.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

Disabling Antivirus Software

Another solution will be to disable HTTPS checks in antivirus software, as some antivirus uses an in-between scanner, which may not support the same TLS 1.3 version. In general, you need to find everything that controls internet activity.

  • Open your antivirus program and click on Settings > Additional.
  • Click on Network and locate Check encrypted connections.
  • Select Do not check encrypted connections and confirm your decision.

If the error SSL version interference persists, try disabling the antivirus while searching for the cause.


Check date and time

  • Switch the view to large icons and go to the Date and Time section.

This is a solution that I have seen working for quite a number of people. You can implement it following these steps:

  • Right click on the volume icon located on your taskbar and then select Playback Devices
  • Right click on the speaker device then select Properties from the menu
  • Now you’ll need to click on Advanced Mode after which you should change your sample rate from the current to 24 bit, 96000Hz. 
  • Next, Apply the changes then say OK. 
  • Restart your PC play videos to see if the problem is gone.

Fix 2: Update your display drivers

The best place to begin fixing your video playback freezing issue is to update your video drivers. 

Follow the steps in the order given below to do that:

  • Start by pressing Windows Key + R simultaneously. This will initiate the Run Command window. 
  • Type this command, devmgmt.msc and hit Enter 
  • In the window that comes up, expand the Video Adapters tab and chose Display Driver Name
  • Right click and then click on Update Driver Software
  • In the new window, click on Search automatically for updated driver software
  • Your PC will take sometime to search for new software updates and upgrades (your PC should be connected to the internet).

  • Go back and try playing videos to see if the problem has been resolved. 

Fix 3: Use the device manager to temporarily disable battery

  • Type in devmgmt.msc and hit Enter 
  • In the new window, expand Batteries then select device battery
  • Right click on it then pick the Uninstall option
  • Once the uninstallation is complete, restart your PC. 

Fix 4: Install graphics drivers in compatibility mode

To install graphics drivers in compatibility mode, follow the steps given below: 

  • Go to the official website of your PC graphics card manufacturer. For instance, if you’re using a Hp, Dell machine, you should go to the official sites of those site of those companies
  • The next step is to select the configuration of your machine and start downloading the latest version of graphics card drivers
  • When done, you’ll need to locate the Downloads folder then right click on the .exe file you’ve downloaded
  • From the context menu, select Properties then click on the Compatibility tab
  • Check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode 
  • Select Windows 7
  • Apply the changes and say OK
  • Double click the setup file to initiate it’s execution 
  • Follow the prompts to install the drivers to the end
  • Once the installation is complete, restart your PC
  • Now go back and try playing videos to see if the problem is solved. 

Fix 5: New administrator account 

1. Press Windows key simultaneously with I to launch Settings then click on Accounts

2. Next select Family and other people located on the left-hand menu then 

3. Select Add someone else to this PC under Other People

4. At the bottom, select I don’t have this person’s sign-in information

5. Click on Add a user without a Microsoft account 

6. Enter the username and password for the new account then click Next

7. You’ll be redirected to a new screen once the account is created. You’ll now need to Change the account type

8. Change the new account to Administrator then click OK

What causes Windows update error 0x80248007?

This error occurs because of two main reasons. The first one could be that one or several critical files are either missing or corrupt. Secondly, it could be because your Microsoft Software License terms could not be verified. In other words, this error bars you from downloading and installing any updates via Windows update. You’re likely to get this error as many times as you’ll keep clicking on the Retry button. 

So now, let’s get down to what really brought you here.

Method 1: Resetting Windows Update Service 

Navigate to your Control Panel select view by Large icons then go to Administrative Tools. 

Next, double click on Services and provide the required password or confirmation if prompted. 

Next, locate and right click on Windows Update and then select stop from the menu that appears. When you apply that, the error is as good as solved. 

Method 2: Deleting Windows Update Cache 

Deleting the Windows Update cache before retrying the installation of the updates is another quick fix to this error. 

Here are the steps to follow to achieve that: 

  • Click on Start or press the Windows icon on your keyboard and type in the search bar services.msc.
  • On the results that come up, click on Services
  • Then scroll down until you get to Windows Update Services
  • Right click on it and then click Stop
  • Now go to File Explorer from your Start Menu
  • Navigate to C:>then to Windows>Software Distribution>DataStore then delete all folders and files in there. 
  • Again, navigate to C:>Software Distribution>Download then delete everything you find in there. 
  • Now you’ll need to restart your computer
  • And try to run the windows update again.

Method 3: Checking the Amount of Free Disk Space 

One of the reasons for the missing files or folders could be that your machine doesn’t have enough space to download and store them. It’s always advisable to ensure that your computer has at least 10% of remaining free disc space at any given time. 

To check out the amount of available disk space on your computer, do the following:

Go to Start then find File Explorer 

Select the File Explorer app

Then click on PC and then check to see the amount of free space on Disk C

  • If the available space is less than the recommended 10%, you’ll need to right click on C click on Properties followed by Disk Cleanup 
  • From the list that’s populated, vet and see if there’s anything you can uninstall or remove to create more space. 

Method 4: Fixing Corrupt Files 

You can fix corrupted files by running a simple chkdsk command. 

Here’s how to do that:

  • Go to Start type in CMD in the search bar. Click on run as administrator
  • Next, select YES, if prompted by UAC. 
  • In the command window that comes up, type in  chkdsk C: /f /r and then enter. 

You’ll see a screen like the one below. 

  • In case there’s a prompt for you to initiate a scan the next time you reboot press Y then hit Enter. 
  • Now restart your computer and hopefully this should automatically sort out the error for you. 

Method 5: Troubleshooting Windows Update

This method is also one that you can quickly use to fix the 0x80248007 error. By taking advantage of the Windows 10 inbuilt troubleshooter, you can find out if there are any errors and apply the recommended solutions.

  • See if this solves the problem by trying to download and install the updates again.

How to Transfer Files Between Two Computers Using LAN Cable

However, transferring data over a LAN cable would save you all the trouble. If the files you want to move are small, you can do it through Wi-Fi if both devices are operating in the same network. This post will today guide you on how to move between two computers using LAN cable.

Step 1: Use the LAN cable to connect the Computers/PC’s

The first step is to combine both computers to the LAN cable. Any LAN cable can work, crossover or ethernet. Because both wires use the same port with few functional differences.

Step 2: Enable Network Sharing on Both PCs

Now that both PCs are connected turn on the network sharing option on both computers to enable sharing or exchange of files. You have to repeat the process on both PC’s step by step. Click on the Start menu and locate the Control Panel then click on it to open

A new window will open with the Control Panel, select Network, and the Internet.

Another dialogue box will open, click on Network and Sharing Center. If this is not your first time transferring files between two computers, then you can type the following on the search box after clicking on the startup button: Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center, then press the Enter key. The command will redirect you from Control Panel to Network and Sharing Center.

From the left-hand side of the Network and Sharing Center window, navigate to Change advanced sharing settings. Three network options will be visible: Public, Private, and All Network. Public Network is a shared connection in public places like airports, coffee shops or restaurants; Private Network is your home network or an organization while All Network comprises both. For a smooth connection and operation, we recommend you connect them to All Networks.

Click on the drop-down icon to expand All Networks. Now, enable Public Sharing to open the PCs to access files through the LAN cable to each other. Turn off password protected sharing to avoid typing it every time you try to access it through another computer. 

However, this may pose a significant security risk to your network, so make sure you turn on password protection once the process is over. Switching off your password protector opens it for other computers or people to access the network as shared data, whereby they do not require credentials. 

Well, this is not a secure practice since you will share your data with people you don’t trust, but now, you are making an exception this one time because you are transferring files between two PC’s you trust. Once you finish, Save Changes and repeat the same process for the second PC.

Step 3: Setup Static IP

Now that you have enabled network sharing on both PC’s, it is time to bring them to the same network. Set up a static IP address of the same class on both PC’s following the steps below.

1. Click on the Startup button and locate the Control Panel to set up a Static IP. Navigate to Network and Internet then tap on Network Sharing Center. You can also right-click on the Start Menu then click on Network Connections.

2. The next window displays active connections. In this case, it is the Ethernet or LAN cable that connects both PCs. Tap on the Ethernet link. A new dialog box opens, and you should click on the Properties button.

3. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) on the next pop up menu. Tap on Properties to open another dialogue box.

4. At this point, you need to configure the two PCs on different IP settings.

On the first computer, tap the option “Use the following IP address.” then input the details below;

  • Subnet mask: 225.225.225.0
  • Default gateway: 192.168.1.2

It may not be necessary to use the above-given IP addresses because you can use any IP address in class A or B. If you are not sure what these IP addresses mean, stick to the above example.

You have to repeat the process on the second PC, but you flip the IP address as well as the Default gateway values

The above procedure keeps the subnet mask the same and changes the IP address.

Now open your Window’s File Explorer and select the Network tab on the left side of the window.

Hopefully, you have set up everything right, as directed above. Both PCs should now be appearing in this Network window. Tap on the other PC’s icon and browse the file. But before you start browsing the files, there is one more setting to configure.

Step 4: Transfer a folder

We assume your cable connection is okay, the sharing option is also enabled, and the IP address configuration is in order. It is now time to transfer files between the two computers using LAN cable. Before you share the data, we recommend that you create a new folder where you will copy and paste all files you want to share.

Now, right-click on the folder you want to share. Navigate to Give access from the context menu then click on the option Specific People

3. From the File Sharing window, on the drop-down menu, select Everyone, then the Add button next to it. You can now finally press the Share button.

After sharing, the next window shows the folder’s location in the network.

The transfer of files between two computers using a LAN cable is now complete, and you can access the folder on the other PC. Launch the Networks panel and Select the other PC’s name.

The file you just shared is now visible. Now you can open the folder and use the usual way (Copy and Paste) to transfer data. You can also repeat the same on the other computer.

  4. Drag and drop the Facebook++ file into the Cydia Impactor window.

This service was initially called Apple Rendezvous. Its main purpose is to simplify network operations. 

The funny part of this program is that when installed, it doesn’t create a desktop icon and neither will you use it directly. It is not like Google Chrome or Adobe Illustrator. In fact, it is only used by applications and other programs.

This service acts as an intermediary (and runs in the background) between these applications and your local data network. 

The communication happens when the iTunes program on your PC finds other PCs on your network which have iTunes installed. This way, you can take control of the shared media libraries.

How does this service get on your Windows PC?

It happens that you’ll find this service running on your PC yet you did not manually install it. Well, you have a chance to personally/manually install it and sometimes apps like Safari and iTunes will auto-install Bonjour service on your PC.

So, is it safe to remove it?

If you are not using Apple devices (e.g MacBooks or iPhones, or Apple TV), you don’t need it. However, Windows has some programs that depend on Bonjour service to execute properly so always check the system requirements for all your apps. When you find out that it is of no use, you can safely get rid of it from your Windows PC. 

NOTE:

If you did not install Bonjour yet it’s on your PC, don’t remove it. It simply means that there is an application that depends on it to run. Uninstalling it will cause some programs to misbehave or crash.

How to remove/uninstall/delete Bonjour service on Windows 10/8/7

If you didn’t install Bonjour service then it was installed by an app that depends on it. The good news is that if you are not using the app, you can permanently uninstall it and no harm will befall your PC.

Here are the steps to uninstall the Bonjour service from your Windows computer:

Method 1: Uninstalling Bonjour service

  1. Press Windows button + R to open the run box
  2. Next, type appwiz.cpl then hit Enter.
  3. Find the Bonjour service from the list of programs/services displayed. This should appear under Programs and Features screen.
  4. Click on the Bonjour app then on select Uninstall.

  1. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the uninstallation process.

Method 2: Removing Bonjour safely without loss of connectivity. 

For this method to work, you must log into your PC as an administrator.

Part 1: 32-bit Systems:

  1. Hit Windows Key + R to open the run dialog box
  2. Type the following command and then hit OK.
    “%PROGRAMFILES%BonjourmDNSResponder.exe” -remove

  1. Repeat step one but this time type the command below in the Run dialogue box then hit Enter.
    regsvr32 /u “%PROGRAMFILES%BonjourmdnsNSP.dll”

For 64-bit Systems:

  1. If you’re operating on a 64 bit PC, press Windows key + R and then type the following command. Hit Enter key afterwards.
    “C:Program Files (x86)BonjourmDNSResponder.exe” -remove

  1. Now repeat the above procedure and type this command in the the run box and press OK
    regsvr32 /u “C:Program Files (x86)BonjourmdnsNSP.dll”

Once you execute the commands ideal for your version of Windows (64/32 bit) restart your PC then test to see if all your installed programs are running. Also check if you can surf the internet.

If you run into some errors, simply hit Windows key + R then type the command below to re-enable Bonjour service.

mDNSResponder.exe -install

How to Fix WSAPPX High Disk Usage Issue

Are you having problems with WSAPPX? This article will take you through the process of fixing WSAPPX high disk usage issues on your PC.

Before we dive into the solutions however, I thought it wise if I first explained what WSAPPX is all about. This is to help you understand if it is important to have it or not.

What is WSAPPX?

There are many background processes that your PC runs, some of which you might not be aware of and WSAPPX happens to be one of them. It runs in the background processes on Windows 10/8 operating systems. It is basically a component of the Windows Store and also a Universal app platform of Microsoft.

In most cases, it has two different background services:

On Windows 10

  • AppX Deployment Service (AppXSVC).
  • Client License Service (ClipSVC). 

On Windows 8 

  • AppXSVC.
  • WSService (Windows Store Service).

In much simpler terms, Wsappx is purposefully responsible for installations, updates, and uninstallation of Store apps.

This means that when all the installations, updates and uninstallation tasks are finished, there is no need of keeping the service on your desktop.

So, how or when can you see if your PC is encountering a WSAPPX high disk usage?

It is simple, when you check the status of disk usage.

This might be due to the fact that your PC  is running slower than usual.

You can see this service on your task manager as shown in the image below:

Why Is WSAPPX Using So Much Disk or Space?

You might be wondering why this service is using more space as compared to others. If you want to effectively take care of this problem, you need to be aware of the reasons why it is utilizing so much space. 

Here are some of the reasons that we found to be the cause:

  • When using the Microsoft Store, this service usually activates and makes use of the disk, CPU and other resources
  • By default, Wsappx requires many resources to perform a single download, installation or update.
  • This issue will be seen when there are activities for App update and download running in the background.

7 Solutions To FiX WSAPPX High Disk Usage Issue

In situations where the WSAPPX is excessively using your disk, as in the screenshot below, use the following seven solutions to fix the problem.

The solutions include:

  1. Disable Windows Store
  2. Extend/Allocate More Virtual Memory
  3. Check and Clean Disk Internal Error
  4. Scan Your Computer to Check Virus
  5. Troubleshoot in Clean Boot State
  6. Update Device Drivers
  7. Use System Restore or System Image Recovery

Solution 1: Disable Windows Store

There are two ways you can use to disable the Windows Store

Method 1: Use Local Group Policy

  1. Hit the Windows key + R then to open the Run dialogue box.
  2. Now type gpedit.msc and click hit Enter.
  3. From the screen, enter Local Computer Policy then head to Computer Configuration.
  4. Now select “Administrative Templates”.
  5. Expand Windows Components then open “Store”.

  1. Select “Turn off/ Disable the Store application” 
  2. Click “Edit policy setting”.
  3. Change the status to “Enabled”.

  1. Click “Apply” and then hit “OK” to save changes and exit.
  2. Restart your PC and then check to see if this solution works or not. 

If this solution fails, please move on the next fixes.

Method 2: Fix WSAPPX High Disk Usage Using Registry Editor

Before you attempt this fix, please note that the Windows Registry Editor is not for novice computer users. Wrong alteration of values could cause serious problems to your PC. 

Also, to use this method, you must have administrator privileges to change settings on Windows.

Be very careful not to drift from the steps I provide. Also, make sure that you create a restore point if you’re not very sure of what you’re doing.

  1. Hit the Windows Key on your keyboard and then type regedit.
  2. Click on the first option to fire u thep Registry Editor.
  3. Click “Yes” to grant Admin permissions.
  4. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. This should be on the left panel.

  1. Go ahead and expand SYSTEM as well then navigate to CurrentControlSet and then Services.

  1. Now scroll down and select the AppXSvc folder.

  1. Finally, double-click on the Start key and then type 4 in the data value.
  2. Click OK and restart your PC.

Alternatively

  1. when you reach step 4, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsStore.
  2. You’ll now be required to create a new DWORD value. This should be within the Widows Store keys. Rename it as “RemoveWindowsStore”, then set the value as “1”.
  3. Save changes and exit Registry. 
  4. Restart Windows service.

Please note that when you disable Windows Store, third-party Store apps and programs will not be installed or updated.

By any chance you want to resume installations and updates, simply re-enable Windows Store. You can achieve this by following the above methods:

  • Disabling “Turn off the Store application” or 
  • Changing the value of RemoveWindowsStore back to “0”.

Solution 2: Extend Virtual Memory To Fix WSAPPX High Disk Usage

If you are still encountering issues of high disk usage on your PC  then increasing the virtual memory processes that take up more disk can solve this problem.

Follow the steps below:  

  1. Hit the Windows key and then type  performance
  2. From the results, click on Adjust the appearance and performance of windows.

  1. From the performance options window, click on the Advanced tab.
  2. Now click on the Change button. You can find this under Virtual memory.

  1. Next, uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.
  2. Afterward,  select the drive then click on custom size. 
  3. In the Initial size text box, enter your RAM memory in MB 
  4. Enter the Maximum size preferably double the initial  RAM amount in the maximum size input box.

  1. Finally, click Set then OK and then restart your computer.

Solution 3: Check and Clean Disk Internal Error

There are two approaches you can follow if you want to check and clean disk internal error. The first method is the use of  EaseUS free partition tool and the other one is to use CHKDSK command to fix disk error if any.

Let’s have a look at what each has to offer:

Method 1: Using EaseUS free partition tool 

There are times when unknown system mistakes e.g high disk usage/ high CPU error occur when a disk encounters internal error.

For those who are still struggling with WSAPPX high disk usage issues, performing a disk check using EaseUS tool should fix your troubles. 

Here is how to go about it:

  1. Download and install EaseUS Partition Master on your PC. 
  2. Open the tool and then right-click on the partition you want to scan for error.
  3. Next, click on “Check File System”.

  1. In the next window, check the “Try to fix errors if found” option 
  2. Now click “Start” and wait until the software is finished with checking your disk.

  1. Click on the “Finish” button when everything is complete.
  2. Reboot your PC  and head over to Task Manager. Check to see if the disk usage of wsappx is back to normal.

Method 2: Using CHKDSK command

  1. Hit the Windows button and then type CMD to open the command prompt. Click Yes to provide administrative privilege. 
  2. Once the CMD terminal opens, type the following command

chkdsk.exe /f /r

  1. Wait for the command to execute fully
  2. Type Exit then reboot your PC and check if you made any progress.

The above two methods work just fine, however if you find them to be so cumbersome, you can use DiskGenius software to check and repair bad sectors.

See the steps below:

  1. Install DiskGenius and launch it.
  2. Go ahead and select the disk that you want to scan for bad sectors. This should be on the left pane.

  1. Now click Tools > Verify Or Repair Bad Sectors and then click the Start Verify button.

  1. Click the Repair button if bad sectors are found after scanning. 

NOTE

Checking of bad sectors on your disk is a read-only process. It does not damage data but a bad sector repair process will affect info/data stored/near bad sectors therefore ensure that you backup files.

Solution 4: Scan Your Computer to Check Virus

Viruses could slow down your PC and cause WSAPPX high disk usage. Don’t ignore running a scan for viruses because this could be the only breakthrough once the issues are fixed.

  1. Run anti-virus software  available on your PC. If you don’t have any, be sure to check out some from this link here.
  2. Click on the appropriate scan button to fully scan your computer disk and allow it to remove any suspicious files.
  3. Once everything is set, reboot your PC, check to see if anything changed.

Solution 5: Troubleshoot in Clean Boot State

Troubleshooting your PC in clean boot state is another attempt you can try out to resolve the wsappx high CPU usage issue if the other ways didn’t come to the rescue. 

When performing a clean boot, Windows will only run essential drivers ideal for settings and startup programs.

To manually resolve the wsappx high CPU or high disk usage issue from startup, follow the instructions below:

  1. Hit the Window Key on your keyboard and then type MSConfig. 
  2. Hit the Enter button to fire up the System Configuration Utility.
  3. Navigate to the General tab and click on the “Selective Startup” option.
  4. Afterward, ensure that you check the “Load system services” checkbox then “Use original boot configuration” and click “OK” to continue.

  2. Once the issue is fixed, repeat the above instructions but this time, uncheck “Load System Services”.
  3. Save all changes and then reboot the computer once more.

Solution 6: Update Device Drivers

There are several ways you can use to update device drivers on your PC. One, you can do it manually or you can use a driver update tool. I will take you through both ways so that you can choose the convenient method for your needs.

Let’s get to it:

Method 1: Update the device driver

  1. Hit the Windows Key and then type “device manager:
  2. Select Device Manager from the list of options displayed.
  3. You will see a list of drivers, expand any category and find those that have a yellow exclamation mark.
  4. Next, right-click the driver you’d like to update.

  1. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
  2. Select Update Driver.

If Windows doesn’t find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer’s website and follow their instructions.

Alternatively, you can uninstall and then reinstall the driver afresh. Here is how to go about it:

  1. Hit the Windows Key + X
  2. From the menu that appears, select Device Manager.
  3. Right-click on the device driver, and select Uninstall.
  4. Restart your PC and it will be installed automatically.

Method 2: Use Driver Easy

The WSAPPX high Disk usage may be caused by incompatible or faulty drivers. Using Driver Easy could help you curb this problem once and for all.

  1. To do so, download and install Driver Easy. This tool will automatically scan your computer system then find the correct or matching drivers for it. 
  2. Run Driver Easy and then click the Scan Now button. 
  3. This tool will then scan your PC and detect any problematic device drivers. If you are using the premium version, you can select the Update All button. However, if you are using the free version, install one driver at a time until you finish the process, restart your PC and that will be it.

Solution 7: Perform System Restore or System Image Recovery

If you have a system restore point or system image created on your PC, we can use it to roll back your computer to a state when it was working just fine.

Option 1: System Restore

Use the following steps to perform a system restore:

  1. Hit the windows key then type Control Panel and hit Enter to open the Control Panel screen.
  2. Type “recovery” 
  3. Click on “Recovery” to continue.
  4. Now choose “Open System Restore” then click “Next”.
  5. Choose the time to restore your computer. This should be a time when your PC was working just fine.
  6. Confirm the restore point and click “Finish”.

Check if the issue is fixed.

Option 2: System Image Recovery

If you have a recent Windows 10 system backup then here is when it becomes of use. Here is how to perform system image recovery.

  1. Hit the windows key on the keyboard then press “shift” and then click “restart” at the same time to enter the WinRE.
  2. Select “Troubleshoot”. This is under the “Choose an option” screen,
  3. Click “Advanced options” then select “System Image Recovery” in the “Advanced options”
  4. Select the latest system image from the window that pops up or an image backup that enables Windows 10 shut down. And then click “Next”.
  5. Follow the on screen prompts in order to restore your PC. Click “Yes” when you see a warning window for formatting pops up during the process

Bonus Fix: Check For Windows Updates

It happens that if your Windows is out of date, problems such as WSAPPX high disk usage could occur. This is because the latest supportive programs might not be installed or properly configured. Ensuring that you have the latest version of  Windows installed on your PC could be the breakthrough.

Check for updates for your Windows using the steps below:

Windows 10 Users:

  1. Hit the Windows key then type the “Settings” to open the Settings window.
  2. Click Update & Security then click on Check for updates.
  3. Next, click on Install the updates if there are any.
  4. Reboot your PC and see if all works well.

Other versions of Windows:

  1. Hit the Windows key + R on the keyboard simultaneously. This will open the run dialogue box.
  2. Once it opens, type control and click OK.
  3. Click on the Windows Update in Large icons option.
  4. Next, click on the check for updates option.
  5. Install the available updates then restart your PC.
